We want you all to 'tell 5 people' about Sam.

Whether it be over a coffee in the canteen, or by forwarding the website details to people on your contacts list, the stipulation is that they each tell another 5 people.

The snowball effect of this should be immense!

 

 

 

 

RUN AN EVENT FOR SAM!

We want to encourage as many people as possible to consider running an event for SAM.

Some suggestions are:

• Coffee Morning
• School event (eg Non-Uniform Day, Fancy Dress competition. Art Competition)
• 'Jeans for Genes Day' at your workplace where staff dress 'casual' for the day .
• Car Boot Sale
• Car Wash
• Cake Sale
• Fun Run
• Marathon relay
• 10K run
• Sponsored Cycle
• Teddy Bears Picnic
• Nursery Peddle Push
• Sponsored Walk

Please let us know when you decide what you can do to raise money and awareness of the pleasefixsam campaign. We will do whatever we can to help you to help SAM.

If you would like us to come and talk to your school or workplace about MD, make a cheque presentation, or simply like us to get involved, please contact us.

You will find below a fundraising pack containing PDF files which you can download, including posters to publicise your event, sponsor forms, etc. We also suggest that you contact your local press where possible in order to publicise your event.

WRITE TO YOUR MP

As well as raising awareness and funds for research one of our charity's aims is to campaign for greater recognition of Muscular Dystrophy in the political domain. We are hoping that this will ensure that MD is on the agenda when it comes to allocating grants for research and development. We will be joining over 100 MD sufferers in a parliamentary lobby at Westminister on 18th June. We would like you to write a letter to your MP to ask that they table the issue of MD in the House of Commons.
